I'm planning to start buying a property for my family and i'm thinking of buying this land from an individual seller. It's in a good location and for a very good price. I found out that she is just on vacation here from the US and she is married to a US Citizen. She explained to me that she acquired the property way back when she was single and the property title is under her maiden name. She still has IDs under her maiden name. She currently does not have children.
My concern is, wouldn't the property be considered a conjugal property since she is already married?
Also, what documents would be needed for me to ensure there will be no complications later on?
